I am an American woman, who had a decades long career in research and analysis. But my true passion has always been photography.

I am an introvert who chooses solo travel over group travel. I am an early riser, a fast walker, an amateur historian, an impatient empath, and a coffee addict. I am a single adoptive mother, who cares deeply about children and marginalized communities. I have decades of experience studying and volunteering in persecuted communities, including North American Indigenous tribes, and the Roma/Irish Travellers.

I am passionate about documenting archaeological sites, the natural beauty of a region, and portraits of those who practice and protect their cultural heritage.

My photography is practiced through a sociological lens. How do people maintain their connections, protect what their ancestors passed down, and submit to change when the world forces them to do so?  I love Eastern Europe and hope to spend 2027 focusing on the transcontinental countries, of the Caucasus region and Central Asia.
